‘Someday’

By John K. Neon

If there were someone to hold on for
It is you, you are for me and I for you.
Taking the shortest time, shaking and afraid,
She whispers ready and a cry.
Already there. Hearts rapidly soothed.

All the tension had no meaning.
Before me a river filled with electricity,
Bathing in beauty of the bruised body radiated.
Nothing else mattered but we shared the same space
The heart beat the thinking out of existence,
A minor irrelevance. The new life shone out,
Breaking the cloud, piercing holes in every darkness,
filling beakers of pure liquid light, drink in, purify,
washing away every last doubt and draining out.

Re-birth, this entity new and ready gracefully.
Everything touched transformed,
Melted were the cast irons of the past,
Liquified and set into walking surfaces.
Leap upon off and on. Reached the distance.
