UK pay £5000 incentive to buy electric car
Thursday, April 16th, 2009UK government will pay from £2,000 to £5,000 grants as an incentive to car buyers to buy electric.
They are also investing £20 million into plug-in points for charging E.V.s and hybrids. This is considered by many to be far too little. Country-wide power points will cost far more.
All this is hoped to stimulate investment in electric car production.
Perhaps by 2011 we will all be driving a car indirectly powered by either wind, water, solar, fire or atom splitting.
It means a nice reduction of our carbon footprints.
